Our story

Inspired by a lighthouse

Rauf Erol, father of our founder İbrahim Bey, was a "fenerci", the keeper responsible for the lighthouses off Gümüşlük. The light that guided ships at sea gave our restaurant its name and its spirit.

Today the restaurant is run by the third generation, Rauf Can Erol, who shares his grandfather's name. Respect for good food and warm hospitality have never changed.

History and views

Where the ancient King's Road ends

Known in antiquity as Kalidne and later as Asar Island, Rabbit Island was once home to the Leleges. The King's Road, which you walk through the sea to reach the island, feels like a tunnel through time.

While you touch the island's ancient stones, your order is carefully prepared; when you return, your table is ready for the sunset.
